Paris police have ordered the closure of shops and restaurants along the route of a protest march against alleged police brutality and racism.
The protest march between Place de la Republique and the city’s main opera house is expected to be the largest of several protests around France over the coming days.
Parisian police have ordered shop keepers and restaurant owners to clear the pavements along the route of anything that could be used against the police should the protest turn violent.
