At least eight people have reportedly been killed and five others seriously wounded in a shooting in the German town of Hanau.

Reports state that two Shisha bars were targeted in the attack. Police reports suggest the attackers are still at large.

Hanau is a large town located 25km east of Frankfurt am Main.
